So you all know I love TV, but i'm not fond of dramas like House, Law and Order or any other show like them (although I do occasionally watch The Mentalist just to see Simon Baker).
So, I was skeptical when my Speech proffesor showed us an episode of Lie to Me. But in the end, I ended up LOVING it! It's a great show mainly about microexpressions.
Watch it. It's so, so good!
I occasionally like to watch crime procedurals as well. Lie To Me never really did it for me, though - what makes it so great in your opinion? (I love TV and I find it very interesting to hear what shows other people watch and why).
ReplyDeleteI love The Mentalist too (because yes, Simon Baker is simply excellent) but the very best is Bones - have you tried it yet? The characters are so well-written (usually the problem with procedurals is that they go for plot gimmick over characters, which only makes the show interesting for an episode or two).
I've also recently started watching NCIS: LA but really only because Barrett Foa is so damn pretty. heehee.
Lie To Me isn't the best television, I admit. What I enjoy the most about the show is the scientific aspect of it, the microexpressions. Because of the show, I've been doing my research on microexpressions.
ReplyDeleteI wholeheartedly agree about Simon Baker! The guy is gorgeous!
Honestly, I've never watched Bones! Am I missing out? I don't really like medical, or legal dramas, and I mostly tune in if someone makes me, or is someone highly attractive is on the show (Yes, I'm talking about you Barrett Foa). Ok, am I being a huge theater dork, or are you totally quoting Lin Manuel Miranda there? :D
